Practice Manager
Mrs Gayle Wylie is the practice manager. She is happy to hear your views and suggestions about the service offered by the practice.
Reception Staff
Our staff will help you to see the GPs or practice nurses. Please give an indication of your problem, so that you book your appointment with the right person.
Confidentiality is maintained at the highest level by all staff.
Nurse Counsellor Service
The nurse counsellor sees patients referred by a GP. She offers counselling and cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT).
She has support from the GPs and Community Mental Health Team.
Community/District Nurses
The nurses help with care at home after surgery and for many long-term conditions. If you need to speak to the community nurse, tel: 01968 671535.
Private Health Care
If you have private health insurance please tell your doctor. It can be helpful if you need to see a specialist or physiotherapist.
As a practice we try to do the best for everyone we see. Waiting times for some treatments (but not all) may be considerably shorter if you have private health insurance.

GP Registrar Training
Fully qualified doctors with extensive hospital experience complete their training by working here as GP Registrars for one year.
Fully qualified junior doctors with a minimum of six years' training also work with us for four months at a time. Their surgeries are supervised by one of the senior GPs
We video-record some consultations for teaching, assessment and for postgraduate exam requirements.
You do not have to have your consultation video-recorded if you do not want to. This will not affect your care in any way.
We will always ask your written consent before and after a video consultation.
Medical Students
We teach medical students from the University of Edinburgh. We ask for your consent before a student is present in your consultation. Please say so, if you prefer not to have a medical student present with your doctor.
We understand and respect your feelings about this and it will not affect your treatment at all if you prefer not to see a medical student.
Other Health Professionals In Training
We sometimes have other health-professional students working with us. We will ask for your consent before we allow a student to be involved in your consultation. We understand that not everyone is happy to have a student present. Please say so, if this is how you feel
