Remember to tell us what medication you need and which pharmacy you would like it sent to.

If you are on you regular medication, you will get a reminder on your repeat slip once a year to book a telephone or face-to-face review. At the moment, all reviews are being managed by telephone.

Our local pharmacists can give you advice about minor ailments. This includes cough/cold remedies, painkillers, treatment for rashes, lice, scabies, indigestion, hay fever and anti-allergic remedies.

We work closely with our pharmacist colleagues and they ask advice from us if you have symptoms that they can’t treat.

Prescription turnarounds

Below is information that shows the turnaround times for the preparation of prescriptions.  This information is based on standard operation and does not account for any unplanned events or significant spikes in demand that could see the turnarounds increase.  We review this information weekly and it is only intended as a guideline on how long a Prescription can take from being handed into Penicuik Medical Practice:

*Emergency and urgent prescriptions are identified by Clinicians of Penicuik Medical Practice.  Same day preparation by Penicuik Medical Practice will be dependent on when the request was received that day.
